Great project I got to work on for a cigar website who had arranged a cigar tasting event matched with selected whisky. The client wanted a poster for the event showcasing the proper ways to smoke and handle cigars.
The original brief only requested the 1 poster. However, when designing the poster I produced a a few different coloured versions to see which they preferred. Turns out they wanted all of them!
The biggest challenge was to come up with a style and tone that was approachable. Much like whisky, cigars have a bit of an intimidating stigma to them which can put people off. To combat this the illustrations were designed to be bold and clear with loud contrasting colours to draw the eye, linked to "no-nonsense" text explaining the process of smoking a cigar.
