My first year as a freelancer

Today marks my first year as a freelance illustrator! How has it already been 1 whole year? What a journey, what an experience. If I could time travel back 4 years and tell my 31-year-old self I’d be earning a living, illustrating full time, I wouldn’t believe it. Yes, it's been stressful, it's been challenging, it's been incredible hard work, but it's also been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done and i'm doing what I love. I never thought I’d have the guts to do it, but I have some great friends and a wonderful bride-to-be (plus my faithful sidekick and wonder puppy) that helped make it a reality. I've learnt so much, met some incredible people, grown as an artist, had work published, made a board game, book covers, posters, gifts, tarot cards, and artwork for beer! I never imagined where this would go and feel incredibly grateful for the journey so far. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings and what I’ll get to create next. Here’s just a few highlights of what I’ve been up to :)
