In my short time freelancing as an illustrator it's been great working on such a variety of commissions, different styles and communicating different things. Still one of my favourite things todo is portraits. This work in particular has served me more than I thought. What started as a training exercise to try and discover how far I could push my artwork turned into a commission. Once completed and published online it got a fair bit of attention, this lead to winning more work, and the clients would explain how they found me (or my website) through this artwork. It's crazy to be that once an image like these get posted online they take on a life of their own, getting likes, shared, pinned etc. It's a great feeling and helps spur you on in times of self-doubt.
