A magical gift

This commission was for a surprise birthday present and one of my more challenging paintings I've made. I've not done much work involving elaborate backgrounds so when I was approached to make a fantasy library filled with lots of books, creatures, and a princess I did stress a bit a first. Luckily the client and I were always of the same mindset and bounced ideas around in a really organic way which not only took the stress away but made it that much more enjoyable.
